Mission Statement for Children and Youth - St. John's Christian Education Program strives to offer a nurturing and caring environment for youth to grow and act as a Christian faith community and to be more fully aware of God’s presence through the specific implementation of dynamic Biblical and liturgy based curriculum. We welcome all youth and we seek to foster a spiritual foundation through an understanding of God and God’s loving call to us. We celebrate with joy and have a deep respect for this community. Note: For Children under 4 Years of Age we have the Nursery and Cry Room described on the Our Worship page.
- Godly Play - (Grades pre-school to 2nd, ages 4-7) - Godly Play begins with the proposition that children have a natural sense of God and that what they lack is the appropriate language to help them identify and express it so it can be explored and strengthened. Godly Play teaches children the art of using Christian language—parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action—helping them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Music will be intgrated into Godly Play. Godly Play will meet from 10:00 am until 11 am when they will join the 10:15 am service. For more information contact Rev. Linda Northcraft at

- Seasons of the Spirit ENCORE Class 1 - (Grades 6-8) - Young teens enjoy being more self-directed in their learning. Friendships are important to them and together they are beginning to explore a variety of viewpoints within their community and the world. The weekly resources provide opportunities to actively explore the Bible and encourage the development of communication skills. Varied activities meet the needs of different learning styles, and service projects will introduce ways to connect with the church and the community. For more information contact Paul Castelli at
